Who is this guy?
Simon Turnbull is an illustrator and animator. His work is primarily in the game and book  industries. Simon is an intensely creative individual whose real strength lies in his ability to develop content for a wide range of audiences na d media applications. He can design an illustration based entertainment property from scratch in just about any style.
He has created editorial illustrations, broadcast animations, TVCs, educational software, children's books and print fiction. He is a very decent writer and sequential storyteller and he can program games and interactives in Flash. Simon has lived in Australia, South Korea and China.
What does he like doing?
In his spare time Simon, like most illustrators, is obssessive about mastering the art of drawing. He is also very keen on martial arts. Simon has travelled to Japan, Thailand, Korea and China to study different traditional fighting styles. He in a black belt in Korean Hapkido.
When he can Simon enjoys scuba and skin diving and likes cycling and swimming. He likes to read a lot, especially history. His favourite author is D.H. Lawrence. Simon has read Hesse's Steppenwolf in German. He is trying to learn Chinese but wishes he had more time.
Simon can inflate balloons using only the power of his mind.
Where did he go to school?
Simon has a bachelor's degree in Media Arts  (animation and video production) from RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia.  He also has a diploma in visual arts (drawing, painting and photography)  and has certificates in web design and small business management.
